The Diversion

I could see the horizon from there,
And yet, the sight did not seem so appealing,
I knew I had it all,
Yet, all the feelings were sinking,
I needed to take a diversion,
For this was not where I was meant to be.

I knew I had another purpose,
Lost in the midst of all the chaos,
Voices running over in my head,
“These were not my fears!” I said.

I allowed others fears to become my own,
And diverted further away from my dreams,
Now it’s time to return to where I belong,
And overcome all the fears that have been adding up since so long.

“I have to take this diversion”, I told myself,
The next diversion may be miles away,
Hesitation, fear, excitement,
I know I can face it all, I said!

The earlier path didn’t seem to scare me,
But this one seems a lot more scary,
I don’t know where I am headed to,
I don’t know what the future holds,
But all I know is that I can be much more happy,
In this little world I’ll call my own.

Very often, we let others fears become our own, and we loose ourselves.
Make sure that your life is notable for what you are,
And not for what others think you can be.

  1. “Create a better idea of what the key should be. One that makes more sense to people, so that they believe in the diversion we create.”
